Types of Bets in Online Roulette Games There are a number of different types of bets in online roulette and these differ with regards to the variation of the game you are playing. Here we will cover the bets that can be put down in the conventional variations of European roulette and American roulette. The stakes can be separated into inside bets and outside bets.
Inside bets – Inside bets are laid within the numbered area of the roulette table. It is possible to have five inside bets in European roulette, with an additional bet in American roulette.
Straight up bet – this is a bet on one given numeral. The bet must be put exactly on the numeral.
Split bet – this is a bet on two numerals that are next to each other on the table. The bet is required to be put on the line between the numbers.
Street (row) bet – this is a bet on a line of three digits. The bet is placed on the outside of the row on the table.
Corner bet – this is a stake on the four integers in the corner of the roulette table. The bet is placed in the center of the four corner integers.
Line (double street) bet – this is a stake on the six numerals that encompass two bordering rows on the roulette table. The bet is set on the line flanked by the two rows of integers.
Five number bet – this is a stake that can be made in American roulette on the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2, 3.
Outside bets – Outside bets are put outside the numbered part of the roulette table. There are five outside bets.
Odd or even bet – this is putting a stake on the ball settling on an odd numeral or an even number.
Red or black bet – this is a bet on the ball landing on a red digit or a black integer.
High or low bet – this is a bet on the ball coming to rest on a high numeral (19-36) or a low integer (1-18).
Column bet – this is putting a stake on the 12 digits that comprise a column on the roulette table. The wager is set at the edges of the column.
Dozen bet – this is putting a stake on a set of a dozen integers (1-12, 13-24 or 25-36).
Starting a Online Roulette Game
Gamblers need to place their stakeson the roulette table in an acceptable point for the numeral or collection of integers they intend to wager on. The croupier discharges a small ball into the turning roulette wheel, in an opposing direction to the spinning wheel. A little before the ball comes to rest in one of the numbered slots, the croupier announces “no more bets” and all gambling activity must end. This is slightly different in online roulette as you do not get exposed to the time pressure of the croupier saying “no more bets” and you can take as long as you like to put down your chips.
